Re: Lucieth's 2017 sketchbook

Yeah, on the values, it's a monitor/colour/photoshop problem I have that I've been trouble shooting for years now. It will make my colours darker and in general mess up an image for me (it's like the mid-darks completely disappear and gets washed out or just turn really dark and muddy). It recently ...

Re: Lucieth's 2017 sketchbook

This is from early April. I did a quick Renekton from League of Legends, a game I haven't touched in years but someone requested I'd do it. Frankly doesn't look like the character yet, since this is just a WIP and I still have quite a bit of way, and a lot to learn. I'm bad at finish my works, so th...

Re: Lucieth's 2017 sketchbook

A single day of "Draw whatever the heck I want and don't worry about a thing". I apologize for the lack of diversity and reference, anatomy and creativity on this one. Most of it is just sketchy sketches and stuff. But I’m starting to enjoy “art”. I had an old photo of one of my old 2005 sketches, o...

Re: FE-W Sketchbook of the Present

Oh my, I wouldn't say you're behind by any means. And even if that was true, you'll surpass me in no time! I really love the way you use your lines for the gestures, makes a lot of sense anatomically as well (which I suppose is the whole point, haha). And I can see that you're well on your way to pa...

Re: Lucieth's 2017 sketchbook

Hey, I hope you don't mind a little critique. Take it with a grain of salt, because I am not as far as you yet :) First of all, great seeing you posting a good amount, I always value dedication very high. Keep it up and get out of your comfort zone a bit more. By that I mean drawing some more varie...

Re: Lucieth's 2017 sketchbook

More stuff. These are done in Photoshop as I'm still more comfortable with the brush customization in PS. They have a softer feel, and no matter what I do with Clip Studio Paint they always seem a little rougher. My sketches are usually a little "rendered" unless I'm doing croquis or thumbnails. I a...

Re: Lucieth's 2017 sketchbook

More silly sketches and stuff. I keep it simple and somewhat fun. I’ll probably upload more painting stuff soon, but I’m still working on drawing skills, cuz it’s important to stay on top of. Re: Lucieth's 2017 sketchbook

Some reference sketches and a lot of stuff from imagination. Things are very sketchy on purpose, and I didn't actually correct some of the errors that I started seeing (like the red head and her weird crooked nose). I decided to give things a little bit of colour. I'm still working with Clip paint s...

Re: Lucieth's 2017 sketchbook

It’s just bunch of nonsense Pharah and Tracer from Overwatch, derpy perspective Lucieth and Cammy. And misc ladies. I’m using Clip Studio Paint, and my first impression is that this program is worth the money I spent on it and then some. Trying to figure out my “style”. I’ve been consistently drawin...

Re: MesH's Sketchbook

I like your determination and objectivity. You're getting a lot of important things covered. Are you working with the same subjects for more than a day or do you practice a lot of things in a session?

Looks like you've watched some of Mark's Drawing Tutorials (on youtube), very focused.

Re: Lucieth's 2017 sketchbook

Some sketches and a speed paint or two. Trying to make sure I don't grind to a halt. The one on the right is a 30min speed paint I spend an extra 5-6 minutes on to add a beard and fix a little bit of light. Still blows

So I noticed a couple of things I wanted to change. I can't seem to fix it completely and I think it's probably because I've looked at it too long. There is things I'd probably change if I hadn't moved on(the ear and head shape in general)

Re: Lucieth's 2017 sketchbook

We got some more silly sketches. I wasn't drawing to make it look interesting, but I think I have a problem with my stuff being extremely static and boring these days. But I had fun, just something I'm going to try and improve on (other than practically all my fundamentals Kappa ) https://68.media.t...

Re: Need crits please?

It doesn't look bad. The shading is very limited, though. I think you could get a lot out of having a more structured face in this case. Loomis has books on it that can be found for free now (I wouldn't suggest piracy, I have both a PSD of the face construction book and a soft cover). When practicing...

Testing Sketches from late 2016 and some recent ones above. The “X” indicates things I took inspiration off of Cyancapsule because they make cool things. The rendered lady took about an hour. https://68.media.tumblr.com/ce6f00f13eb4aa78d9c8480b8724b124/tumblr_ojbxjfOTmW1tqvx32o1_1280.jpg https://68....

I'll post most things here. I have been really awful at deleting everything I do because I can see what's wrong with my stuff, but I have a hard time correcting my mistakes.
I might start out posting some of my late 2016 stuff. But 2017 is a year for improvement PogChamp

Lucieth Scrubious - Self-taught art student from Denmark

Hey everyone, I'm Lucieth, 29 and from Denmark. I've been doing art for over twelve years, but have only been "taking it more seriously" for the past two with a lot of inconsistency. When I'm not drawing I hang out on gaming and art streams. I also play Overwatch on EU. I'm here to get critiques and...
