advice would be appreciated

Unread postby Rex1us » Sat Aug 13, 2016 7:02 am

A painting I worked on maybe a bit too much. Overall I'm quite satisfied, but I feel like it could use more flair. Something seems off, but I don't know what, or how to add it.

all tips are suggestions are welcome :)

Kinda fudged around with the anatomy a little. Watch your center line on the face. I have this same issue too, tending to flatten out the face or force a turn without realizing. Moved the left leg (her right) a little, shrunk the waist a tad. But take this all with a grain of salt. I also agree with the contrast and color from the previous reply. But overall, great start!

nice pose and anatomy.
I see the piece as monochromatic, so it goes in same hue from light to dark,
it makes the piece not so interesting, try put more hues on the piece for skin, hair and clothes.
I suggest going up the hue wheel while it goes to light and down for dark, or maybe from cold to warm.
You are doing well, keep working on it.
