The new study challenge for the next two weeks is to draw or paint a study from a movie still/screen cap. This exercise is to study successful shots from films and try to understand what makes them work. This is a great way to learn about composition, and setting up interesting lighting or color palettes in a scene. It's also a great way to see how to achieve certain moods and atmosphere in a shot. Feel free to do this from whatever films you wish. Try to find something that has elements you like that you feel like you could apply to your own work.
If anyone has suggestions for movies they feel have great cinematic work/colors/lighting let me know and I will post suggestions below:

-Any medium is allowed.
-WIPs and finals can be posted in this thread. Try to post all your images in the same post by "editing" it if possible.
-Due before Sam's stream on Monday, March 12th.
