Description:
The new study challenge for the next two weeks is to draw or paint drapery and clothing. Study cloth and drapery in order to understand the different types of folds and how they're structured. Try to study common pieces of clothing you find yourself drawing (shirts, pants, capes, etc) and seek to understand how clothing folds and drapes on different parts of the body. You can also use this challenge to study the values/colors of drapery and work on painting cloth in a believable way.
You can do as many studies as you like, and make them as loose or polished as you like. The goal is to bring these studies into your own work and focus on what you think will help you the most.
Rules and Guidelines:
-This a a drapery/clothing study challenge.
-Approach it with an idea of what you'd like to focus on and learn from the study.
-Any medium is allowed.
-WIPs and finals can be posted in this thread. Try to post all your images in the same post by "editing" it if possible.
-Due before Sam's stream on Monday, April 9th.

Re: TAP Study Challenge #31: Drapery and Clothing
I only had time to do this one study. I chose an evening gown because my fantasy characters usually wear dresses or gowns (when I draw them with clothes). I referenced a few different dresses, one a dress where the model was on the runway so I could draw the fabric in motion and a few different ones with lace patterns because I am weak at lace. Thanks for the challenge!
