TAP Challenge #93: r/CharacterDrawing
Description:
We're going to do something a little different for this challenge. For the next two weeks the challenge is to find a character description or prompt on https://www.reddit.com/r/characterdrawing/ and do a character design for it. The CharacterDrawing subreddit is a D&D based subreddit where artists share characters they've done and people do drawings/paintings of other peoples D&D characters for fun. The goal is to find a character description that interests you enough, do a design of your interpretation of that character, and post it here as well as on the subreddit and mention who is was for.
This can be a fun way to find interesting characters that spark your imagination, as well as a good motivation to try participating in online communities which can be great for getting your art and name out there.
Rules and Guidelines:
-This a character design challenge.
-Approach this concept as if you were designing it for a video game or film.
-Any medium is allowed.
-WIPs can be posted in this thread and the final submissions can be posted in the "Finals" thread.
-Due before Sam's on stream review on Monday, June 12th.

I thought this one seemed pretty interesting:
https://www.reddit.com/r/characterdrawi ... artificer/
Updated. Kobold Artificer. Description below:

Updated. Kobold Artificer. Description below:
I figure this could be a cool, outlandish idea. I'm giving you a lot of freedom on this, but I have just a few requirements out of it. To save you the trouble if you don't know, an artificer is basically the engineer class. My artificer is a kobold who wears a cloak covered in patches, and he carries a rifle (which loads like a shotgun). My favorite part of this entire thing, he rides on the shoulders of a large metal golem (so sort of like Guardians of the Galaxy, if you know that scene). Past the outline, I'm giving you a lot of freedom. Though Kobolds are conventionally red, you can choose any color you like! Whatever pose or angle you like, I don't care! Just go for it!

Roughing out my Giff big game hunter. The Giff are a spacefaring D&D race of hippo men with a penchant for guns and explosions.
He'll be wearing a safari outfit and carrying an elephant gun.

I ended up using the character randomizer posted by DaveCaveDraws. After a few clicks "A Dragonborn who is writing an autobiography" is born.

Re: TAP Challenge #93: r/CharacterDrawing
Found a description of a Genasi Sorcerer on reddit. Here are a few ideas I had for it!
And then a whole bunch of other sketches. From left to right: tiefling cleric who wants to be an artist, dragonborn warlock from the rich side of town, cursed elf bard from a low ceilinged castle, a dwarf wizard from a dilapidated mansion, genasi sorcerer, genasi sorcerer, and a rogue chef looking for the best spice in all the land. Now to pick one to finish!
