Feedington Starts Anew - sketchbook edition

Unread postby LordFeedington » Mon Oct 02, 2017 4:06 pm

Hi folks, I meant to start a sketchbook a while ago but there were technical difficulties that lead to the complete eradication of all of my psds, in fact the whole Pc committed sudoku. To top it off I had some medical difficulties with my wrist, and the collective downtime destroyed what little discipline I had. My hope is I can gradually regain it by grinding out this sketchbook.
Critiques are, of course, welcome.

I open with a photo study that was fortunate enough to land in my dA scraps page before digital oblivion struck and a wip-sketch of an image I'm working on right now.

Edit: I didn't want to spam a new post so I'm just editing this one. Sketch is done, due to the stiff posing I made a quick cartoony version that was a bit more dynamic. Also quick head studies from Loomis.

So here's a update on some stuff. I've been doing head practice and I tried doing something more stylized again, only to notice I struggle with cartoony styles way more than I should. Edit: The studies are Loomis and Elvgren.

Hahah sorry, I had disappeared by then, partially due to wrist injuries, partially other stuff. But we're back now (knock on wood)!

For now, timed portrait practice (90-120 minutes range).
